Colors

The color palette applied by most tools predominantly leans toward neon, vibrant, and digital hues. Purples, blues, greens, and yellows are frequently utilized, most often as single tones or in a split-complementary scheme of three, or even all together. Undoubtedly, color stands out as a pivotal factor in this context. Why are these particular colors the most widely favored?

  • Blues are often associated with trust and technology. Purples represent magical transformation. That’s why shades of these colors are commonly used in AI-tool interfaces.
  • Green symbolizes growth and innovation, so for tools especially related to sustainability or environmental applications, this color is used.
  • Split-complementary schemes and the use of multiple colors is a perfect design approach to create visually appealing and dynamic interfaces.
  • Neutrals offering a clean and modern look are frequently used to create a minimalist and professional look.

Typefaces

Most typeface choices gravitate toward sans serif fonts, occasionally featuring pixelated options, and modern serif choices are frequently used. Typeface selection depends on the distinctive goals and preferences of the specific platform. Commonly observed options include Noto Sans, Helvetica Neue, Lato, Roboto, or custom designed sans serifs. Decisions typically revolve around fonts that prioritize accessibility, modernity, cleanliness, and legibility. Here are some font-style examples for your reference:

  • Sans serif fonts are clean, modern, and easy to read; therefore, they are most often preferred for their simplicity.
  • Roboto is commonly used due to its readability and accessibility on screens.
  • Montserrat offers geometric shapes and a modern appearance.
  • Open Sans is a font designed for clarity and readability, so it’s no surprise that many platforms choose to use it.

Integrating AI tools with exciting branding

Numerous already exciting brands are leveraging AI technology to enhance their products. In such cases, it’s common to see that the AI tool maintains its own, distinct identity while co-existing as a sub-brand under the primary one. This entails variations in color usage, logos, or typefaces, yet all elements harmoniously complement the overarching primary identity.

Tone of voice

We see that most AIs get human-like features, though it’s clear that they’re still machines. The common tone of voice is neutral, informative, direct, transparent, and professional but still friendly. AI tools aim to communicate information clearly and objectively without conveying emotions or subjective opinions. This also makes it possible to ensure that the responses fit a wide range of contexts and audiences. Most AI tools are approachable and user-friendly while still maintaining a sense of formality and reliability.
